Current Opportunities

The primary role of an Outside Sales Representative is to increase sales and help drive business growth in alignment with the company’s goals. You are the face and voice of the brand and the business out there, and the bridge between the market and the company. You seek new opportunities, build new relationships, engage with real people, and guide their experience as customers through the process of buying our print and media services. You take great care and pride in every aspect of the customer experience, backed and supported by an experienced team.

Responsibilities

  • Generate Sales: It goes without saying but we have to say it. It is #1.
  • Drive Growth: Help build and develop business, driving growth in an aligned and balanced way, so that the experience of your customers, regardless of whether they do business with us, is always positive and doors are left open for future potential business – keeping track of prospects, contact information and key touch points along the way will be essential for continuity
  • Lead Initiatives: Pursue and cultivate new leads in the market, for prospective customers and identify their goals, their needs and most importantly the outcome or result that they are committed to causing for their businesses, and then provide the best solutions that will deliver with excellence (it might be out-of-the-box so be creative)
  • Build Relationships: All successful business comes out of strong human-to-human relationships, with underlying values like care and respect, so without attachment to the outcome, you are invested in learning about your prospective customers and their businesses, with a keen interest to help them grow and succeed
  • Engage with Customers: Facilitate and lead the interaction with prospective customers from the first point of contact right through to the qualifying stages, to presenting solutions and estimates, and the production and delivery of the completed work with ongoing follow-up and setting-up for repeat business
  • Report and Manage: For the entire customer experience and sales process, there will be a reporting requirement at different stages, for milestones and goals, regular meetings with the Sales Team, data and information on customers and projects that will need to be accurately entered, in a timely manner, and double-checked (check twice, quote once)
  • Complete the Job: The expectation is that you’re the one to ensure that the work is complete (there’s nobody coming to finish your job), that your customers are satisfied, that the company has what they need to complete the print job and that, at the end of the day, you are personally complete and fulfilled with the work you accomplished

Capabilities

  • Self-Directed Leader: You don’t need to be told what to do, so you’re naturally going to lead yourself and take initiative, be willing to take risks and deal with failure because that’s all just part of the natural process in a sales role
  • Fearlessly Social: You love people and getting to know them so you have a natural ability to start and build new relationships anywhere, anytime
  • Insatiably Curious: You’re interested in the printing world, print technology and applications, and especially our company’s capabilities, and willing to explore, research and become an expert in this industry simply by being curious and wanting to learn
  • Informed and Knowledgeable: You’ve taken the time to learn about the products and print-related services that we offer, about our team and equipment, our processes and our workflow so that you can, in turn, inform customers
  • Open and Available: You share and communicate openly when things are not working out or you need help, and are great at not taking this personally from constructive criticism or feedback that is really designed to help you grow and win
  • Attention to Detail: You don’t miss things and you dot the “i’s” and cross the “t’s” on reports and paperwork, especially estimates to new customers (don’t miss a zero)
  • Mobile and Agile: You have a car and are willing to get out to customers to meet them face-to-face in their businesses or even respond on-the-fly and drop-off the odd job if that makes a difference to a deadline or a customer experience

Compensation

  • Base plus performance-based commission at start-up and for first 3 months transition period
  • Full performance-based commission and bonuses after transition period
